About Nelix

Building Africa's sovereign chip design infrastructure

We're a fabless semiconductor company headquartered in Accra, designing security-hardened silicon for critical infrastructure across the continent.

Security Through Sovereignty

Africa's critical infrastructure — power grids, payment systems, digital identity platforms — runs on semiconductor technology designed and manufactured elsewhere. This creates dependencies that compromise security, strain supply chains, and limit our ability to build systems that truly serve local needs.

Nelix was founded to change this. We're building the technical capacity and IP to design chips in Africa, for African infrastructure — with security and reliability engineered in from the start.

We're not trying to replace the global semiconductor ecosystem. We're creating a complementary capability — focused on security-critical applications where trust, transparency, and local expertise matter most.

01

Security First

Every design decision starts with security. Not as an add-on, but as architecture.

02

Transparency

Full visibility into our designs, supply chains, and security implementations.

04

Partnership

Working with utilities, governments, and manufacturers as long-term partners

The Nelix Story

Nelix was born from a simple observation: Africa imports nearly all of its semiconductors, creating vulnerabilities in the systems we depend on most.

Our founders came together with a bold vision — to build West Africa's first fabless semiconductor company, focused on the unique security and reliability requirements of continental infrastructure.

Today, we're partnering with Ghana's national utility to develop AI-enabled microcontrollers for smart metering — the first step toward securing critical infrastructure across the continent.
